LATVIA OPEN 19.04.2004
April, 16-18 in Riga there was international kickboxing competition "Latvia Open, 2004" WPKA version, where were 101 participant from 17 clubs and 2 contries.
TWO SILVER MEDALS TO TALLINN SHAOLIN
There were two representatives from Tallinn Shaolin Club on Latvia Open: Indrek Ellama (low-kickboxing, -82 kg) and Reelika Roolaht (light-contact, +64,5 kg). Indrek Ellama was against the fighter from Tallinn MAAA Union Ivan Shumyakov in finals. In even fight judges gave the win to Ivan Shumyakov. Reelika Roolaht was fighting against latvian girl Gita Reinigere. Reelika was better in all 3 rounds, forcing latvian fighter to defence, but two latvian corner judges gave the win to latvian, Reinigere won with score 2:1..
Besides Tallinn Shaolin fighters there were 4 more fighters from Estonia participating in Latvia Open: Timur Hamidoulin (light, 1 place), Yevgeni Vasilenko (light, 3 place), Ivan Shumyakov (low, 1 place) and Dane Pulbert (low, 2 place)
